2> Description:

  • How do the PV solar panelss collect as much energy as possible?

PV solar panelss generate DC current as soon as the sun shines on them. This has to be converted into AC current if the solar system is to feed into the house mains. The inverter is the component which converts the DC current into AC current. The inverter also performs other tasks.
There is an operating point at which the PV solar panelss supply the most energy. This Maximum Power Point (MPP) depends on the light intensity and the temperature of the PV solar panels. During operation of the solar system the inverter continuously searches for the MPP and adapts the current and the voltage of the PV solar panelss such that maximum power is always fed into the mains. The inverter also monitors the mains connection and thus also ensures fault-free parallel operation with the public electricity network.
For the winning of energy from sunlight the angle of the PV solar panels to the sun and how the sun shines on it play an important role.
If the sun is hidden behind clouds or if part of the PV solar panels is in the shade or is dirty then the energy yield is low. For this reason it is important to ensure correct alignment of the module and to make sure that no shade falls on it. It is also important to ensure that the mounting angle of the module is sufficiently large to allow adequate self-cleaning via rain running off it.
The PV solar panelss are installed on the roof in such a way that as much energy as possible can be generated. Most slanted roofs which point south are suitable for the installation of solar systems. A roof inclination of between 15 and 50?is optimal, taking into consideration the points referred to above.
Structures on the roof such as chimneys and skylights must in all cases be considered by the specialist during the planning of the system.
A typical solar power system requires approx. 10 to 30 m?of the roof area. If the solar power system is aligned southwards and installed by specialists an annual yield of 850 kWh per installed 1 kWp can typically be achieved in Germany.
The solar energy used is in proportion to the nominal yield which can be generated and is therefore suitable for comparing different systems.

  • About solar PV (photovoltaic) panels

Solar Photovoltaic Panels are also known as PV panels. These panels comprising an array of PV cells which captures the energy from the sun directly and converts it into electricity. Some of the materials for making solar photovoltaic panels include monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, microcrystalline silicon, cadmium telluride and copper indium sulphyde.

There is an increasing demand for alternate and renewable sources of energy to meet the ever growing energy needs. With the advancement of solar technology the production of solar photovoltaic panels has increased by more than two times during the past decade or so. No wonder then photovoltaic production is one of the fastest growing technologies in the world today. The best way to describe solar photovoltaic panel technology is that it is a technique that helps in the generation of solar power by converting the solar energy into electricity through the use of PV cells.

The solar photovoltaic panels generate electricity directly by using the sun’s radiation. The electricity so generated is used for meeting different kinds of energy requirements. It is used for powering electric devices and electronic appliances and for recharging batteries. Initially PV cells were used for generating power for spacecraft and orbiting satellites. Nowadays, a large number of PV modules are applied for creating grid connected power generation. By using and inverter you can convert DC power to AC power. This power can be used to generate electricity for rural homes, power boats, electric cars and recreational vehicles.

You can now build Solar Photovolataic panels on the roof top of your homes. You can use the power generated from the solar photovoltaic panels as a main source of electric power or use it as an alternate source. By using it as a main source of power you will be able to save on long term electricity costs as you will no longer have to pay regular electricity bills to your local utility company. Lastly, you will be able to generate electricity in an unpolluted manner and contribute to a clean and green environment.
